For You

"I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people...A Savior has been born to you."
Luke 2: 10 (emphasis added)

If you read the Bible as if you were the only living person in the whole world, certain verses come alive like never before, leaping off the page. Imagine an angel holding a shiny, red gift bearing a card that says, "To You." Would you open it? Or would you dismiss it with a wave of your hand saying, "Certainly that can't be for me." How could it be any clearer? A Savior has been born TO YOU!

Whatever sin you have committed, whatever shady regrets claw at your coattails, no matter how many times you've been told you don't measure up, it does not change the tag on the gift: TO YOU. Open it and you will find all the unconditional love you can't extract out of any person. You will find a man named Jesus, who is also God, lay down his life for YOU. You will find rest for your soul.

Accept the Gift. Open the door of your heart and let Jesus make a difference. Then you will have a Merry Christmas every day of the year.
